Balkan AD Officially Opens Industrial Park Balkan in Lovech
Lovech, Bulgaria, 30 June 2026 - Balkan AD today officially inaugurated the newly developed external access and internal technical infrastructure of Industrial Park Balkan, marking the successful completion of the “Development of Industrial Park Balkan - Lovech for Investment Attraction.” project. The project was implemented with financial support from the European Union under Bulgaria’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan through the Public Support Program for the Development of Industrial Areas, Parks and Similar Territories and for Investment Attraction.

Located in the Northern Industrial Zone of Lovech, Industrial Park Balkan spans an area of 1,305 decares (130.5 hectares). Balkan AD is the owner and operator of the park, duly registered in accordance with the applicable legislation. The company holds a licence issued by the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission for the distribution of electricity through a closed electricity distribution network, valid for a period of 35 years.
Over a period of twelve months, a comprehensive and modern infrastructure network was developed, including water supply facilities, stormwater and sanitary sewerage systems, an internal natural gas pipeline, an electricity distribution network, landscaped green areas, and an advanced internal road system featuring roundabouts, parking facilities and street lighting.

The park is additionally equipped with electric vehicle charging infrastructure with a total installed capacity of 480 kW, allowing the simultaneous charging of up to 14 electric vehicles.
The project also delivered two new access road connections and a new water supply line. Lovech Municipality acted as a project partner in the implementation of the external access infrastructure, providing institutional support without financial participation in the project.

In addition to the project activities, and entirely with its own resources, Balkan AD reconstructed and modernised an existing access road connection and upgraded the associated railway crossing using automation and modern control systems.
The total value of the investment exceeds EUR 14 million.
“We have developed a modern infrastructure platform within a remarkably short timeframe. The park is already home to operating investors, while interest from new companies continues to grow. This project provides a tangible foundation for regional economic growth, new employment opportunities and long-term prosperity for the local community.”
Ivaylo Stoyanov, Chief Executive Officer, Balkan AD
